Grand-prix "Sprint Tour"
The event that consists of 4 stages takes place on the territory of Russian Federation in Sverdlovsk region and Khanty - Mansiysk autonomous region - Yugra.
1.Classification of competitions.
Multistage sprint ski tour is carried out in Russia for the very first time. The competitions are international, multistage, and commercial. The last Tour stage is included into FIS calendar.
The event is carried out with purpose of popularization and development cross-country ski races in Russia, even out of the ski arenas or stadiums in order to be closed to the spectators as much as possible.
The races are individual.
2.The organizers of the event.
The event is organized by the patronage of Sverdlovsk Region Governor and Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region - Yugra Governor.
Organizers:
- The cross-country ski union of Sverdlovsk Region.
- "The high sports skill school - 2" of HMAR-Yugra establishment.
- The cross-country ski race union of HMAR-Yugra.
The direct carrying out of the races is placed on:
stages I, II - "Children and sports" Fund, Yekaterinburg
stage III - “Tyumentransgaz”, Yugorsk
stage IV - "Yugraintersport", Khanty-Mansiysk
The Director of the event - Batalov Sergey (Yekaterinburg)
The Chief Justice of the event - Macht Valeriy (Tyumen')

3. The requests to the participants and terms of access.
The top skiers from Russia and other countries by personal invitation.
Also the top athletes from the Russian Biathlon Units, orienteering, archery-biathlon are permitted to participate in this event according to the preliminary applications. The policy of insurance is required.
Draw of the stage II qualification is carried out according to the results of the stage I.
The top athletes from the other Cross-country Ski Unions are permitted to participate in qualification of the stage II according to jury's decision. Additionally another start group that consists of the other Ski Unions athletes is formed according to the jury's decision.
The participation in the stage IV is allowed for all skiers who possess FIS code.
4. The event schedule.
Regulations (enclosure).
The sprint races are carried out in the following way:
Stage I Point race (sprint-criterium).
Each second lap – sprint (intermediate finish). Women – 6 sprints, men – 16 sprints.
The winner is defined on the sum of points on all sprints. A lap of advantage – 20 points.
Stage II Mountain sprint.
Men: According to the sprint formula with 30 finalists.
24 finalists + 6 by jury's permission.
Women: According to the sprint formula with 16 finalists.
12 finalists by qualification results + 4 by jury's permission.
Stage III Supersprint (match sprint).
16 best skiers (by time trial qualification) compete in 1/8 final in match sprint. The winner of match sprint go to ¼ final etc.
Stage IV: According to the FIS rules.
5. Determination of the winner.
The Sprint Tour winners and awardees are determined according to the point amount for the places in each stage by the enclosed table.
In a case of point equality the victory is determined by the least time amount in qualification of the stage I and IV.
For total classification it is not necessary to take part in all stages.

3. At the last finish of the race the points get double.

In a case of point equality the victory in the stage I is determined by the maximum of the intermediate victories.
In a case of points and victories equality - by the best result at the finish.
6. Rewarding.
The stage winners are awarded the money prizes and the medals for 1 - 6 places for men and
1 – 6 for women.
Ме n: I-1000 euro, II – 750 euro, III - 500 euro, IV – 400 euro, V – 300 euro, VI – 200 euro.
Women: I – 800 euro, II – 600 euro, III – 400 euro, IV – 300 euro, V – 200 euro, VI – 100 euro.
The Sprint Tour winners are awarded places 1 - 6 places (men and women). Additionally some special prizes from the sponsors and other organizations can be established.
Total:
Men: I – 3000 euro, II – 2400 euro, III – 1800 euro, IV – 1400 euro, V – 1000 euro, VI – 600 euro.
Women: I – 2000 euro, II – 1600 euro, III – 1200 euro, IV – 800 euro, V – 600 euro, VI – 400 euro.
7. Transportation.
Severo-Uralsk city is a place of carrying out the Sprint Tour first two
stages. It is situated 500 km to the North from Yekaterinburg-the center of
the Urals. This area is ecologically clean.
Yugorsk (stage III) and Khanty-Mansiysk (stage IV) are situated on the
territory of the West Syberia.
Travel Agensy CLASS provides with visas and transfer from Europe to
Severo-Uralsk and from Khanty-Mansiysk back to Europe.
The Sprint Tour Organizing Committee guarantees transport and delivery of
cargo to the places of the event.
Transfer from Severo-Uralsk (stage I) to Yugorsk (stage III) is accomplished
by train (sleeping compartment).
Transfer from Yugorsk (III stage) to Khanty-Mansiysk (stage IV) is
accomplished by plane.
Nourishment.
The Sprint Tour Organizing Committee guarantees the nourishment according to
the European standards for ALL participants of the Sprint Tour (athletes,
coaches and servicemen).
8. Application for the participation.
Applications for the participation are submitted to corresponding organization according to regulations of the event till March 20, 2007.
